Wednesday evening, Major League Soccer's newest team made its selections in the MLS Expansion Draft. The Philadelphia Union's roster remained intact as no players were picked from their lineup.

San Diego FC, the latest addition to the league, chose five players to bolster its squad. The selected players are midfielder Heine Gikling Bruseth from Orlando City SC, midfielder Jasper Löffelsend from Colorado Rapids, defender Hamady Diop from Charlotte FC, forward Thiago Andrade from New York City FC, and midfielder Hosei Kijima from St. Louis CITY SC.

This draft marks an important step for San Diego FC as it prepares for its debut season in Major League Soccer.
