Philadelphia Union's young talent, Cavan Sullivan, has been selected for the U.S. Under-17 Men's Youth National Team's upcoming training camp in West Palm Beach, Florida. The camp is part of preparations for the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Championship and will lead up to the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Sullivan will join fellow Philadelphia Union Academy players Jordan Griffin and Jamir Johnson at the camp, which is led by Head Coach Gonzalo Segares. The team aims to secure its 19th berth at the U-17 World Cup. In the qualifying tournament scheduled from February 7 to 16 in Alajuela, Costa Rica, they will compete against teams from the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Cuba.

Before heading to camp, Sullivan will participate in Philadelphia Union II's match in the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup against North Texas SC. Throughout the 2024 season, Sullivan has recorded five goals and four assists with his team, marking him as a standout player. At just 15 years old, he recently became the youngest player to score in MLS NEXT Pro Playoff history with a notable long-range goal during a match against Columbus Crew 2.

The roster for November’s training camp includes three goalkeepers: Jack Kortkamp (Sporting Kansas), William Mackay (Real Salt Lake), and Owen Pratt (LA Galaxy). Among defenders are Keehan Barret-Underwood (Liverpool/ENG), Christopher Cupps (Chicago Fire FC), Jordan Griffin (Philadelphia Union), Pedro Guimaraes (Orange County SC), Ian James (Sporting Kansas City), Enrique Martinez (LA Galaxy), Victor Vandenbroucke (Gent/BEL), and Gio Villa (Real Salt Lake).

The midfielders named are Maximo Carrizo (New York City FC), Luca Moisa (Real Salt Lake), Cooper Sanchez (Atlanta United FC), Cristiano Santos Oliveira (New England Revolution), Cavan Sullivan himself from Philadelphia Union, and Jude Terry (Los Angeles FC).

Forwards include Chase Adams (Columbus Crew), Mathis Albert (Borussia Dortmund/GER), Chance Cowell (San Jose Earthquakes), Lionel Gitau (Houston Dynamo FC), Julian Hall (New York Red Bulls), Jamir Johnson also from Philadelphia Union, and Austyn Jones from PSV Eindhoven/NED.
