Philadelphia Union II has announced that defender Neil Pierre will join the U.S. Under-19 Men's Youth National Team for an upcoming training camp in West Palm Beach, Florida. Pierre is not the only member from the Philadelphia Union organization attending; homegrown players C.J. Olney, Andrew Rick, and David Vazquez have also been called up for the November camp.
This call-up continues Pierre's involvement with U.S. Soccer. He was previously called into the U-19s in March and played in all three matches for the U-18s during their recent trip to Japan. Additionally, Pierre has represented the U.S. at both the U-15 and U-16 levels.
Pierre's selection marks another achievement in a notable 2024 season. He won his second Generation adidas Cup with the Union Academy's U-17 team and was named to the tournament's Best XI. With Union II, he contributed to winning their first-ever trophy by securing the MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference title.
Following Philadelphia Union II's participation in the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup against North Texas SC, Pierre and other selected players will report to training camp.
