The Philadelphia Eagles emerged victorious against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a closely contested game at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles, now with a 6-2 record, secured a 28-23 win after fending off a strong second-half comeback from the Jaguars.

Saquon Barkley was instrumental for the Eagles, rushing for 159 yards and scoring two touchdowns. "My team had my back, the defense had my back, and we played together. We got the win and that's all that matters," Barkley commented post-game.

In the first quarter, Sydney Brown forced a fumble on Austin Trammell, which Kelee Ringo recovered at the Jaguars' 20-yard line. This set up Jalen Hurts to connect with Barkley for a touchdown. Josh Sweat also contributed by sacking Trevor Lawrence for a seven-yard loss. "We did our thing," Sweat said regarding their defensive performance.

Barkley's agility shone through in the second quarter with an impressive 14-yard gain involving multiple evasive maneuvers. Jake Elliott added to the lead with a 43-yard field goal. Later, Nakobe Dean's hit on Travis Etienne led to an interception by Zack Baun. "Nakobe had a great break on the ball," Baun noted about his teammate's play.

Injuries impacted both teams; A.J. Brown left due to a knee injury while Ben VanSumeren exited with concussion concerns in the third quarter. Despite these setbacks, Hurts extended Philadelphia's lead with an 18-yard rushing touchdown.

Jacksonville responded as Trevor Lawrence scored on a one-yard run and later capitalized on Barkley's fumble when Travon Walker returned it for another touchdown. Lawrence found Evan Engram for successful two-point conversions twice during this period.

The fourth quarter saw Hurts find DeVonta Smith for another touchdown pass after Smith made an impressive one-handed catch. Although Elliott missed a late field goal attempt, Dean sealed the victory with an interception of Lawrence in the end zone.

Dean explained his decisive play: "It's a play that I knew they had... I just had to make a play."
