The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated E.J. Jenkins from the practice squad for their upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, increasing their available tight ends to three. This marks the third time this season that Jenkins has been called up from the practice squad. Previously, he was elevated for games against Green Bay and Atlanta, participating in five offensive snaps and contributing 15 special teams snaps across those matches.

Dallas Goedert will be absent for a third consecutive game due to a hamstring injury sustained during a victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. In his absence, Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll have been handling the responsibilities at tight end. However, for the past two weeks, the Eagles opted not to add a third tight end on gameday.

Jenkins, who stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 245 pounds, began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2023 before joining the Raiders' and subsequently the Eagles' practice squads. A former wide receiver in college, Jenkins played 46 games with St. Francis of PA, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech, accumulating 1,264 yards and 18 touchdowns on 69 receptions.

While tight end Albert Okwuegbunam is designated for return from Injured Reserve for the Eagles, activating him would require creating space on their 53-man roster.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville has announced several roster changes ahead of Sunday's game. Wide receiver Christian Kirk has been placed on Injured Reserve after breaking his collarbone last week against Green Bay. The Jaguars have elevated wide receivers Elijah Cooks and Austin Trammell from their practice squad. With Kirk's injury compounded by fellow wide receivers Gabe Davis (shoulder) and Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) listed as questionable after limited practice participation throughout the week.
