Young striker Ian Digges named Musselman's Player of the Month for October

Ian Digges, a ten-year-old striker for the HSC Cobras, has been named Musselman's Affiliate Player of the Month for October. The young athlete plays with the Huntertown Soccer and Recreation Association (HTRSA) and wears shirt number 19.

Ian's performance on the field has been described as remarkable by his club. "Ian is truly a standout. He displays remarkable consistency and determination, and his leadership on the field is nothing short of inspirational, raising the team’s performance to new heights," said a representative from HTRSA. They further praised his contributions in key matches, noting that "his impressive contributions in key matches have been instrumental in securing crucial victories. He is a game-changer."

In an interview, Ian shared some personal favorites and aspirations. His favorite professional soccer club is Barcelona, with Leo Messi being his top player globally. Locally, he admires Andre Blake from Union and favors Phang as his mascot choice.

Reflecting on memorable moments in soccer, Ian recalls scoring a free kick during the State Quarterfinals as particularly significant. Outside of sports, he takes pride in his academic achievements.

Looking ahead, Ian dreams of becoming a professional soccer player when he grows up. In school life, Ms. Paddy stands out as his favorite teacher because "she’s really nice."
