The Philadelphia Flyers secured a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday evening. With this win, the Flyers improved their record to 4-6-1 for the season and have now won three of their last four games.

Philadelphia established a 1-0 lead by the end of the first period with a goal from their fourth line. At 11:12, Ryan Poehling set up Garnet Hathaway for his first goal of the season, assisted by Nick Seeler as well.

In the second period, both teams had power play opportunities, but neither could capitalize, leaving Philadelphia ahead 1-0 going into the third period.

St. Louis tied the game at 9:58 in the third period when Nathan Walker scored off a rebound from Philip Broberg's shot, with Zack Bolduc assisting. The Flyers regained their lead at 16:59 through Bobby Brink's redirect from Joel Farabee’s pass. Scott Laughton was credited with a secondary assist.

Samuel Ersson was pivotal in goal for Philadelphia, making 20 saves on 21 shots and denying Brayden Schenn to secure the win. Jordan Binnington saved 19 of 21 shots for St. Louis.

The Flyers struggled on power plays, going 0-for-3 but were effective in penalty kills, finishing 2-for-2.

The game remained tight until Brink's decisive goal near the end ensured Philadelphia's victory without needing overtime.
