The Philadelphia Eagles have shown significant improvement since their bye week, winning three consecutive games against Cleveland, New York, and Cincinnati. As they prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team with a 2-6 record that does not fully reflect their performance due to narrow losses, several key statistics highlight the Eagles' transformation.

Offensively, the Eagles have excelled in various areas. They lead the NFL in fewest giveaways and fourth-down conversions. They are tied for first in rushing touchdowns and first in rushing first downs. Their rushing offense ranks second at 182 yards per game. Additionally, they are second in average yards per pass attempt and yards per reception. Their passer rating is third highest at 125.3, while their completion percentage is fifth at 70 percent.

Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore commented on this progress: "Just finding our rhythm," he said. He noted the value of evaluating the season during the bye week: "You re-emphasize the things that you're doing well, identify the things that maybe we can evolve or correct."

Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been pivotal to this offensive success. Moore praised Hurts for his decision-making and aggressive play: "Jalen has just done an excellent job with the football," Moore said.

Despite ongoing injuries along the offensive line and at tight end, wide receiver A.J. Brown expressed optimism about their potential: "We're as good as we want to be," Brown stated.

Defensively, the Eagles have been equally dominant post-bye week. They rank first in points allowed per game, points per drive allowed, total defense, yards per play allowed, passing defense, yards per pass play allowed, quarterback sacks, and first downs allowed per game. Their rushing defense ranks second and red zone defense sixth.

Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio highlighted key moments from their recent win against Cincinnati: "Those last three drives – not counting the last one – but the fourth-down stop is like a takeaway," Fangio explained.

As they head into their matchup against Jacksonville on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, both offense and defense appear to be firing on all cylinders for Philadelphia's late-afternoon Hall of Fame Kelly Green game.
