The Philadelphia Eagles have placed defensive tackle Byron Young on the Injured Reserve list, creating an opening on their active roster. Young, who is in his second year, joined the Eagles after being claimed off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders on August 29. He has not yet participated in a game for the Eagles this season.

Young was selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft from Alabama. During his rookie season with the Raiders, he appeared in six games and recorded four tackles over 99 defensive snaps.

Originating from Laurel, Mississippi, Young played 54 games at Alabama, including 26 starts. He was part of the team that secured the National Championship in 2020.

Currently, no additional roster changes have been announced by the Eagles. However, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen) and wide receiver Ainias Smith (ankle) are eligible to return from Injured Reserve.
