The Philadelphia Eagles engaged in a joint practice with the New England Patriots this week, preparing for their upcoming preseason game. Head Coach Nick Sirianni addressed the media, noting that rookie Cooper DeJean was activated from the Non-Football Injury List and participated in individual drills. "He's going to get some individual work today, see how he feels," Sirianni said.

Wide receiver Parris Campbell was also a limited participant as he recovers from a groin injury. This practice marks the first under new Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo. Sirianni expressed respect for Mayo, stating, "I've got a lot of respect for Coach (Jerod) Mayo and his staff."

Sirianni emphasized professionalism during practices, addressing concerns about fights at training camps: "No fights. You're coming out here to work and you're coming out here to get good reps."

During Tuesday's practice, quarterback Jalen Hurts demonstrated strong chemistry with A.J. Brown on several plays. Saquon Barkley also made notable contributions, including a touchdown against linebacker Matthew Judon.

On defense, Jalen Carter impressed with multiple impactful plays, while Nakobe Dean contributed significantly at linebacker. The defensive line showed dominance throughout the session.

Cooper DeJean returned to practice after recovering from a hamstring injury and is working on learning multiple positions. "I've been trying to learn all three," DeJean said regarding his versatility on the field.

Jalen Hurts received praise from teammates for his performance during training camp. All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson commented on their improved rhythm: "Timing on routes and us just getting to the football and our procedures have been good."

Veteran Brandon Graham appreciated the energy from younger players like Carter and Davis. He emphasized maintaining a competitive mindset: "Everybody I like this year has a chip on their shoulder."

Jeremiah Trotter Jr., who had an interception during practice, continues to show promise following his performance against the Ravens.
