The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the return of their iconic Kelly Green uniforms for two games in the 2024 season. These throwback uniforms will be worn during Week 9 on November 3rd, when the Eagles face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday Night Football, and again in Week 17 on December 29th against their NFC East rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.
This decision follows an NFL rule change allowing teams to introduce a third alternate helmet this season. The team decided to bring back the Kelly Greens for a second consecutive year due to overwhelming support from fans after their debut in 2023.
Last year, the Eagles wore these early '90s throwbacks in two games, achieving victories against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 and the Buffalo Bills in an overtime game during Week 12. The upcoming matchup against Jacksonville marks another primetime unveiling of these alternate jerseys.
The Kelly Green jerseys are produced in collaboration with Nike, honoring the franchise's storied past while creating new memories for fans.
