ESPN announced on Monday the finalists for the Sports Humanitarian of the Year award, which will be presented at the 2024 ESPYS on July 10. The nominees include Angel City Football Club, the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Heat, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles were nominated for their Eagles Autism Foundation. Jeffery Lurie, Chairman and CEO, leads this initiative aimed at providing funds for autism research and raising awareness worldwide.

In 2024, the foundation's seventh annual Eagles Autism Challenge raised over $8.1 million. Since its inception in 2018, it has raised more than $30 million. These funds have supported 116 autism research projects and community grants globally.

The Eagles Autism Foundation also offers year-round support with initiatives like a sensory room at Lincoln Financial Field, a neurodiverse employment program, and programs for individuals of all abilities.
