The Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement with Jordan Mailata on a three-year contract extension, securing his services through the 2028 season. This marks Mailata's third contract with the team since being drafted in 2018.

Mailata's journey to becoming a Pro Bowl-caliber left tackle is notable. After moving from Australia to pursue an NFL career, he did not play in his first two seasons as he adjusted to the demands of American football. In 2023, Mailata played every snap for the Eagles, totaling 1,147 snaps at left tackle.

His performance has been impressive since being selected as the 233rd overall pick in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. The Eagles' decision to extend his contract reflects their confidence in his continued growth and potential.

At 27 years old, Mailata has become a key player on the Eagles' offensive line alongside Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson. "I think I have so much to improve on in my game," said Mailata during the late stages of the 2023 season. He credits Jeff Stoutland, Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach, for his development: "He's the one who made me what I am today."

Mailata's commitment to improvement remains strong. He expressed his dedication by stating that he focuses on improving every day and values his role within the team and community.

The extension is seen as a testament to Mailata's hard work and dedication both on and off the field. His determination to reach new heights continues as he aims to further solidify his place among elite players at his position.
