Bryce Harper, the Philadelphia Phillies' star player, is gearing up for a challenging postseason series against the New York Mets at Citi Field. After a thrilling 7-6 victory over the Mets in Game 2 of the NL Division Series, Harper expressed anticipation for the upcoming games in New York.

“You want to go 2-0 at home, but being able to go 1-1 into New York …” Harper said before pausing and chuckling. “I imagine it’s going to be pretty hostile there,” he continued. “And a lot of fun. So, really looking forward to that.”

Harper is known for his ability to perform under pressure and aims to deliver significant moments during this crucial stage of baseball. Despite being consistently booed by fans across various ballparks since his rookie season in 2012, Harper maintains respect for passionate fan bases.

“It’s definitely different,” Harper remarked about playing in intense environments like San Diego, New York, L.A., and Atlanta. “Obviously, when you go into an environment -- San Diego, New York, L.A., Atlanta -- there are certain places you just have fun, man."

In Game 2 at Citizens Bank Park, Harper hit a two-run home run that energized both the crowd and his teammates. The Phillies boast an impressive record when Harper homers in the postseason.

Despite struggling at Citi Field since joining the Phillies in 2019 with only three hits out of 23 attempts this season, Harper remains optimistic about playing there: “I think it's a great park,” he said about Citi Field. "I love coming here. I love playing here."

As Harper prepares for Games 3 and 4 at Citi Field on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, fans will watch closely to see if he can overcome past challenges and lead his team to victory.
