Pro Football Hall reveals seniors category nominees including thirteen former Eagles

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has revealed its initial list of 182 nominees in the Seniors Category for the Class of 2025, with thirteen former Eagles among them.

Maxie Baughan, a linebacker and member of the Eagles Hall of Fame, was the 20th overall selection in the 1960 NFL Draft. He earned five Pro Bowl selections in six seasons with the Eagles and was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl player for the 1960 NFL Championship Team.

Bill Bergey, also a linebacker, was acquired in a trade with the Bengals in 1974. He played a key role in transforming the franchise and was instrumental to the 1980 NFC Championship Team. Bergey is a three-time team MVP and four-time Pro Bowl selection in Philadelphia, and he is a member of the franchise's Hall of Fame.

Running back Timmy Brown, another Eagles Hall of Famer, once held the record for the longest kickoff return (105 yards) in franchise history. He shares the NFL record for most kickoff return touchdowns in a single game (2 vs. Dallas in 1966). At his retirement, Brown was third on the team's all-time rushing list.

Quarterback Roman Gabriel spent his final five NFL seasons with the Eagles after eleven years with the Rams. Gabriel led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns during his first year in Philadelphia and earned Pro Bowl honors for his efforts. That season, he was named by PFWA as NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Tight end Jimmie Giles finished his career with two-plus seasons in Philadelphia but earned Pro Bowl honors during his nine-year stint with Tampa Bay.

Wide receiver Harold Jackson was a two-time Pro Bowl selection during his four years with the Eagles. Jackson led the league twice in receiving yards and once in receptions while earning both Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors with other teams later on.

Ron Jaworski, another quarterback, joined the Eagles from Los Angeles in 1977. Jaworski spent ten seasons with Philadelphia and led them to their first Super Bowl appearance during the 1980 season. He is enshrined in the Eagles Hall of Fame.

Kicker Norm Johnson concluded an eighteen-year NFL career with a stint at Philadelphia in 1999. Johnson had been a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro before joining the Eagles.

Linebacker Seth Joyner, named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1991, was part of Gang Green—an infamous defensive unit that led statistics across multiple categories that year. Joyner holds records within team history for sacks and interceptions combined and entered into their Hall of Fame in 2018.

Wide receiver Mike Quick earned five consecutive Pro Bowl berths during his tenure at Philadelphia along with three straight seasons surpassing 1,000 receiving yards.

Running back Herschel Walker played three out of thirteen total NFL seasons at Philadelphia surpassing over one thousand yards within his first year there though he remains widely known for being central to an eighteen-player/draft pick trade between Dallas & Minnesota instead.

Bobby Walston who played as both kicker/wide receiver stands second on all-time scoring lists within franchise history totaling up nearly nine hundred points scored inclusive touchdowns/extra points/field goals across twelve years including involvement championship win year nineteen sixty being also recognized inside Eagle’s hall fame itself too

Finally tackle Al Wistert stands alone amongst those listed here having had jersey number seventy retired by team whilst garnering All-Pro recognition times four additionally participating starting lineup consecutively victorious championship runs spanning back-to-back wins late forties
