MLB Pipeline updates Top Prospects lists; Jackson Holliday retains top spot

There's a new Top 100 Prospects list at MLB Pipeline, but the No. 1 overall prospect remains unchanged. Orioles middle infielder Jackson Holliday retains his top position for the third consecutive ranking. Baltimore has now claimed the top spot five times in the last seven Top 100 lists, with Adley Rutschman (midseason 2021) and Gunnar Henderson (preseason 2023) being Holliday's predecessors, along with Bobby Witt Jr. (pre-2022) and Francisco Alvarez (mid-2022).

The latest Team Top 30 Prospects lists are as follows:

In the new Top 10 rankings, the Orioles, Rays, and Tigers each have two prospects listed, marking the first time since mid-2012 that three teams have achieved this distinction simultaneously. Tampa Bay boasts two of the six best prospects, a feat matched by only four other organizations in the past 15 rankings.

Thirty-one players who missed the preseason list have joined the midseason Top 100 list excluding 2024 draftees. Among them is Tigers middle infielder Kevin McGonigle at No. 33 after an impressive season before an injury.
