Leagues Cup continues on Wednesday night, and while Philadelphia Union are not in action, they could secure their spot in the Round of 32.
After starting off East 4 group action with a 1-0 victory over Charlotte FC on Saturday night behind a goal from Tai Baribo and a defense that didn't allow a single shot on target, the Union faithful have their eyes focused on their previous opponent. Charlotte FC concludes their group play against Liga MX powerhouse Cruz Azul with the action kicking off at 8 PM ET from Mint City.
With three points already secured, the Union could secure their spot in the knockout rounds with either of the following scenarios:
- Cruz Azul win in regulation
- Cruz Azul and Charlotte FC go to a penalty kick shootout
The Boys in Blue conclude the Leagues Cup Group Stage on Sunday night when they take on Cruz Azul at Subaru Park with kickoff set for 8 PM and coverage on FS1, UniMas, and free on Apple TV.
