Cost of college went up for all students at the Jna Institute of Culinary Arts

Tuition and fees rose 14.5 percent for 2018-19 at the Jna Institute of Culinary Arts, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $14,575 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,850 more than the $12,725 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 85 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 11 students received grants or scholarships totaling $88,861 and 10 students took out student loans totaling more than $68,432.

Including all undergraduates (36), 36 students used grants or scholarships totaling $329,694, and 35 students took out $165,062 in federal student loans.
