Cost of college went up for all students at the Curtis Institute of Music

Tuition and fees rose 8.4 percent for 2018-19 at the Curtis Institute of Music, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $2,900 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $225 more than the $2,675 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 19 students received grants or scholarships totaling $119,521 and 11 students took out student loans totaling more than $38,500.

Including all undergraduates (171), 131 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.5 million, and 54 students took out $310,535 in federal student loans.
