The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2024-25 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes. The University of Pennsylvania’s men’s and women’s tennis programs were recognized as ITA All-Academic teams. Additionally, 18 Quakers—nine men and nine women—were awarded the ITA Scholar-Athletes Award.

The men’s team honorees include Parashar Bharadwaj, Shaurya Bharadwaj, Sanjeev Chundu, Luka Butera, Justin Chung, Stephan Gershfeld, Manfredi Graziani, Matthew Rutter, and Aaron Sandler. For the women’s team, Sasha Motlagh, Saige Roshkoff, Gavriella Smith, Lara Stojanovski, Liza Tkachenko, Maya Urata, Esha Velaga, Eileen Wang and Sarah Wang received the honor.

To qualify for the ITA All-Academic Team award, a program must maintain a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale among student-athletes listed on the institutional eligibility form. The cumulative team GPA includes all varsity letter winners for the current academic year.

Players named as ITA Scholar-Athletes must have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year and be listed on their school’s institutional eligibility form.
