Philadelphia Union II will play Toronto FC II at Subaru Park on Wednesday night in what could serve as a preview of the upcoming playoffs. Fans have the option to purchase tickets or watch the match through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Union II returns home after consecutive shutout defeats away to New York Red Bulls II and Chicago Fire II. The team was unable to score in either match, marking the first time this season they have gone two games without earning a point. In their most recent outing against Chicago Fire II, Union II managed seven shots on target but were kept off the scoresheet by Chicago’s goalkeeper.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, Union II will aim for a performance similar to their previous meeting with Toronto FC II in July, when they secured a 5-0 win. In that game, Markus Anderson scored in the first half, followed by goals from CJ Olney, David Vazquez, and two from Malik Jakupovic.

Toronto FC II currently holds seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings and maintains a two-point lead over the last playoff spot. In August, Toronto has won two out of three matches, including a 1-0 victory over FC Cincinnati 2 last Friday. Hassan Ayari is Toronto’s leading scorer this season with six goals and three assists across 21 appearances.
