Philadelphia Union II will play Carolina Core FC on Wednesday night as they aim to extend their unbeaten run in July. The match is scheduled for 7:30PM and will be available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Union II recently secured a win against New York City FC, maintaining their strong form. Despite dominating the first half with an 18-2 shot advantage, the team was unable to score before halftime. Markus Anderson broke the deadlock in the second half, and Malik Jakupovic added another goal, marking his sixth of the season in just five professional appearances. The final score was 2-0.

With this upcoming match, Union II has an opportunity to move into first place in their conference. They are currently tied with New York Red Bulls II at 39 points, but Red Bulls II do not play until Thursday.

This will be only the second meeting between Union II and Carolina Core FC. In their previous encounter last season, Union II won 2-0 with goals from Nick Pariano and CJ Olney.

Carolina Core FC is currently five points below the playoff line after 18 matches and has not won a game since June 11, when they defeated Orlando City B. Since then, they have played seven games and participated in three penalty shootouts, winning two of them. Their most recent match ended in a shootout victory after conceding a late goal while playing with ten men.
