For the fourth time this season, Union II has been recognized as the MLS NEXT Pro Team of the Matchweek. The league made this announcement on Wednesday.
The team earned this accolade following a decisive victory against Crown Legacy on their home turf. This win marked Union II’s eighth successful match of the season.
Eddy Davis III initiated scoring in the second minute, marking his fourth goal of the season. Additional goals came from a Crown Legacy own-goal and efforts by Nick Pariano and Malik Jakupovic in the second half, leading to a 4-0 finish favoring Philadelphia.
As a result of this victory, Union II now holds 36 points for the season, placing them second in the conference standings, trailing only New York Red Bulls II.
