Shohei Ohtani has topped Major League Baseball jersey sales for the third consecutive season, according to data from the Fanatics network of sites, including MLBShop.com. Ohtani, who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers and is a frontrunner for the National League Most Valuable Player Award, becomes only the fourth player to lead jersey sales for three years in a row. He joins Mookie Betts (2020-22), Aaron Judge (2017-19), and Hall of Famer Derek Jeter (2010-12) in achieving this distinction.
Ohtani’s teammate Mookie Betts also appears on the list, ranking fourth among most popular jerseys. The Dodgers are well represented overall, with Freddie Freeman at No. 3 and Clayton Kershaw at No. 12; Kershaw is set to retire after this season.
Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees holds the second spot in jersey sales and is also a leading candidate for American League MVP honors.
Other players featured in the top 20 include Francisco Lindor of the Mets at No. 5, Juan Soto of the Mets at No. 6, Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies at No. 8, Fernando Tatis Jr. of the Padres at No. 10, Pete Alonso of the Mets at No. 17, Paul Skenes of the Pirates at No. 18, and Cal Raleigh of the Mariners—currently MLB’s home run leader—at No. 20.
Bryce Harper’s appearance on this list highlights his continued popularity among fans as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies.
