Temple Women & Families Hospital held an appreciation event on April 17 to recognize Pennsylvania State Sen. Christine Tartaglione and Pennsylvania State Rep. Jason Dawkins for their efforts in securing a Commonwealth Capital Funding award of $890,355. The funding will be used to upgrade the hospital’s generator and power supply system.

The event also marked the unveiling of the new Community Care Kiosk at Temple Women & Families Hospital. Developed in partnership with the Maternity Care Coalition, the kiosk provides free essential items including diapers, wipes, and women’s hygiene products.

The initiative aims to address immediate needs within the community by making basic supplies more accessible to women and families who visit the hospital.

Local media outlets 6abc and NBC10 featured coverage of both the appreciation event for lawmakers and the introduction of the Community Care Kiosk.

The upgrades to critical infrastructure supported by this funding are expected to enhance reliability during emergencies, while the new kiosk reflects ongoing efforts to support maternal health and family well-being.
