Temple Women & Families Hospital has begun offering inpatient services, including maternity, labor and delivery, and neonatal intensive care as of September 3. This marks the relocation of all childbirth services from Temple University Hospital – Main Campus at Broad and Ontario Streets to the new facility.

The hospital had previously provided a range of outpatient services such as gynecology, radiology, family medicine, pediatrics, and operating rooms for same-day surgeries. The addition of inpatient care is intended to broaden healthcare options available to women and families in the area.

Temple University Hospital’s main campus no longer provides labor and delivery services following this transition.

A transit alert was also issued regarding significant reductions in bus, subway, and rail service that may impact travel to and from Temple campuses. Patients are advised to review updates on public transportation before planning their visits.
