Seyedmohammad (Omid) Pourshahid, MD, who serves as Medical Director of Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital-Main Campus, contributed his insights to a Medscape article that examines recent findings on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). In children, the infection may contribute to the development of asthma, while in adults it can promote chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
