Anjali Vaidya, MD, Director of the Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure & CTEPH Program at Temple University Hospital, recommended pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE) surgery for her condition.

Yoshiya Toyoda, MD, PhD, Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at TUH, performed Lauren’s surgery in August 2024. Lauren was Temple’s 453rd PTE surgery patient as the hospital approaches its 500th such procedure.
