Beginning at 8:00 AM on September 3, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus will cease Labor and Delivery services. These services will be moved to a new hospital location.

A Community Baby Shower event was held at Temple University, organized by Sen. Sharif Street in collaboration with Temple Health. The event featured free baby gear such as bassinets and diapers, along with counseling on prenatal care, postpartum care, diet and exercise, health care coverage, and financial counseling.

Representatives from CBS News Philadelphia and Fox 29 covered the event. Interviews were conducted with Lakisha R. Sturgis, RN, BSN, MPH, CPHQ, Director of Community Care Management at Temple Health, and Katherine Levins, JD, MBA, Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs at Temple Health.
