Dr. Benjamin Slovis, Chief Medical Information Officer at Temple University Hospital, recently discussed the hospital’s approach to artificial intelligence with Becker’s Health IT. Dr. Slovis noted that the use of AI technology has shown positive outcomes in ambulatory and emergency department settings at Temple University Hospital.

According to Dr. Slovis, these results have prompted providers to request the expansion of AI capabilities into inpatient care areas. “Slovis emphasized strong results in ambulatory and ED settings at Temple that have led to providers asking for the technology to be brought to the inpatient setting,” Becker’s Health IT reported.

In related news, Labor & Delivery services have been relocated from Temple University Hospital–Main Campus (Broad & Ontario) to a new women and families hospital.
