Temple Health hosted its fifth annual Diabetes Alert Day event on March 24 at the Healthy Together Hub located in the ShopRite of Fox Street. The event was covered by several media outlets, including Fox29, 6abc, and Telemundo62.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about diabetes and provide free health screenings to community members. Staff offered quick type 2 diabetes risk tests that took just sixty seconds to complete. In addition to these assessments, attendees could receive screenings for blood glucose levels, blood pressure, diabetic retinopathy, and diabetic foot issues.

The event also featured giveaways and raffles for participants. By offering these services in a familiar community setting like ShopRite, Temple Health aimed to make it easier for people to access important health information and preventive care.

This ongoing initiative highlights Temple Health’s continued commitment to supporting public health through education and early detection efforts related to diabetes.
