Temple Health and 6abc recently produced a sponsored segment focused on the importance of annual checkups for children. Dr. Ilona Duffy, Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, discussed the role these regular visits play in supporting child health. The segment included input from patient Zola and her mother Kaylah Davis.
Dr. Duffy emphasized that annual checkups are essential to ensure children’s ongoing well-being. These visits allow healthcare providers to monitor growth, development, and overall health.
This outreach comes as Temple University Hospital – Main Campus announced it will no longer offer Labor and Delivery services as of September 3, relocating all childbirth services to a new hospital location.
Public transit changes may also affect travel to Temple Health campuses due to major cuts in bus, subway, and rail service.
