Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital held a cookie bake-off inspired by the March Madness basketball tournament on March 17, as reported in a recent article. Sixteen staff members participated in the event, which followed a bracket-style competition similar to the popular sports tournament.
The purpose of the event was to bring hospital staff together for friendly competition and team building. The contest provided an opportunity for employees from different departments to interact outside their usual work roles.
Participants’ cookies were judged based on smell, taste, and appearance, with each category scored on a scale from one to five. Tausha Saunders, Associate General Counsel at Chestnut Hill Hospital, emerged as the winner after several rounds of judging.
The Chestnut Hill Local highlighted not only the event but also shared recipes from both Saunders and Richard Newell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital. This allowed readers to try making some of the winning treats at home.
Events like this are part of ongoing efforts by hospitals to foster camaraderie among staff members while engaging with their local communities.
