Shortly after signing a four-year contract extension, Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens held a video conference to discuss the new agreement with the media. Here are the main points from the session.

Jurgens explained his decision to extend his contract before its expiration by saying, "I think it's the same thing the Eagles think, the Eagles love me and I love the Eagles. Why wait another year when we can get this done? I think it's just as simple as that. I love it here and I want to stay here. They want me to stay here, so I'm just glad we got it inked."

Reflecting on the completion of this career milestone, Jurgens described the moment as "kind of surreal." He expressed his contentment by noting, "Getting to a point like this is life-changing. It's just crazy. I feel like I've been working at it for a while, since I got drafted here I've been working towards this point. Now that I'm finally here, I'm just so thrilled that I got lucky enough to get drafted here and being in the best spot I can possibly could be and now getting this deal done, I feel secure that I'm going to be here for a long time. It's wild to think that I'm finally here. It's crazy."

He attributed his development from a second-round pick to being a Super Bowl Champion to his work ethic, explaining, "What I'm doing is working. If you put your head down and work, things are going to pan out the way they pan out. You worry about what you can do today and how you can get better."

Discussing the potential of the Eagles' offensive line, Jurgens said, "I think we can get so much better together... you can tell there's an immediate culture in that O-line room and how they operated. Everything is full speed. Everything is 100 percent. There's a standard there."

Regarding future plans with his new contract, he humorously mentioned considering TSA PreCheck to ease airport experiences, stating, "I feel like I fly a lot, so I might look into this thing called TSA PreCheck. I feel like that sounds like a good idea."

Jurgens also updated on his health following offseason back surgery. He stated that he is in the rehabilitation process but feels significantly better. He emphasized his focus during the playoffs by saying, "I'm concerned about what I can do to help the team and do everything I can to win. When you're playing for a Super Bowl, that's going to last forever."
