Temple University Hospital, encompassing its Main, Jeanes, Episcopal, and Northeastern campuses, has been awarded the 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award by Healthgrades. This recognition places the hospital among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the United States for patient safety. It marks the second consecutive year that Temple University Hospital (TUH) has received this honor, having been ranked in the top 10 percent nationwide for patient safety in 2024.

In addition to this latest accolade, TUH has previously been recognized by Healthgrades with several awards: America's 250 Best Hospitals for three consecutive years (2023-2025), America's 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care Award (2023-2025), Pulmonary Care Excellence Award (2024-2025), and Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award in 2024.

"Thanks to the expertise and dedication of our teams across Temple Health, our patient safety outcomes keep improving," said Abhinav Rastogi, MBA, MIS, President and CEO of TUH and Executive Vice President of Temple Health. "These prestigious awards demonstrate Temple’s commitment to providing some of the finest care in the nation and achieving exceptional patient outcomes above all."

Healthgrades is a national healthcare data company that assessed risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates at approximately 4,500 hospitals across the country.
