Philadelphia Union Academy's U-18 team is participating in the MLS NEXT Fest on the west coast, competing against FC Cincinnati, Real Salt Lake, and LAFC. The team's performance in California has been notable.
In their second match of the event, Philadelphia Union secured a 3-1 victory over Real Salt Lake. Diego Rocio initiated the scoring just before halftime with a well-timed run and finish. Aniesse Saidi added to the lead early in the second half, followed by Kellan LeBlanc's goal in the 64th minute to seal the win.
The team also faced FC Cincinnati in their opening match at MLS NEXT Fest. Despite dominating much of the game, neither side managed to score, resulting in a goalless draw.
