The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the elevation of tight end C.J. Uzomah from the practice squad for their game against the Washington Commanders on Thursday night.

Uzomah, a veteran with ten years in the league, will be positioned as the third tight end, following Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. This marks Uzomah's first appearance in Midnight Green, wearing jersey number 47.

Originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Uzomah has accumulated 192 receptions for 1,881 yards and 16 touchdowns over 106 regular-season games, with 82 starts for both the Bengals and New York Jets. He joined the Eagles as a free agent in April and returned to their practice squad in October.

The Eagles are set to release their gameday inactive list at 6:45 PM.
