History will be made on Friday, September 6 in São Paulo, Brazil. The Philadelphia Eagles will clash with the Green Bay Packers in the NFL's first-ever game in South America. In addition to this milestone event, the Eagles announced on Friday that they will debut a new uniform combination.
The new uniform details are as follows:
- Helmet: Black
- Jersey: White
- Pants: Black
- Socks: White
The NFL opened the door this offseason for teams to integrate a third helmet into their uniform combinations. The Eagles debuted black helmets in the 2022 season but shelved them when '90s-era Kelly Green uniforms returned to much fanfare in 2023. Now, the Eagles can wear helmets to complement both of their alternate uniforms along with the standard Midnight Green helmet.
The team already announced earlier this summer that the Kelly Green throwbacks will be on display for the Week 9 (November 3) Sunday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and again in Week 17 (December 29) against the Dallas Cowboys.
In 2021, the Eagles paired white jerseys with black pants for the first time during a 30-13 win over the Denver Broncos. Since then, they have won three out of four games in this combination. However, in all five of those games, they wore Midnight Green helmets and black socks. The season opener against the Packers will mark the first time that the Eagles mix in black helmets and white socks with white jerseys and black pants.
So, what are the Packers wearing?
