Mr. FITZPATRICK. Madam Speaker, I rise today to recognize a staple of my district, Altomonte's Italian Market and Deli. Altomonte's was originally founded as Mike's Meat Shop in 1971 by 2 Italian immigrants, Mike and Frances Grispino. In honor of their Italian hometown, Altomonte, they elected to change the name of the establishment to Altomonte's. Through much commitment and hard work, this family owned business has grown from a small butcher shop to a full-scale market and deli with 2 locations in Bucks County.
Altomonte's prides themselves in having a friendly, hard-working, and knowledgeable staff. In addition to serving fine Italian cuisine, Altomonte's plays an active role enriching the community they live in. As our Nation continues to deal with the realities of COVID-19, they have been a shining example for both customer and employee safety. This year, 2021, Altomonte's will celebrate its 50th anniversary. We are extremely grateful for the impact Altomonte's has had on our community.
