SEPTA’s special express trains will operate for the Philadelphia Eagles home opener on September 4, following a sponsorship agreement with FanDuel. State Senators Frank Farry (R-6), Tracy Pennycuick (R-24), and Joe Picozzi (R-5) announced the restoration of the service after SEPTA initially planned to cancel it as part of broader service reductions.

The senators indicated that if an agreement had not been reached, they had arranged for Uber to sponsor the trains to maintain transportation options for fans. “As Democrats continue with press conferences and publicity stunts, we remain focused on real solutions for riders and fans,” the Senators said. “While we work towards a long-term funding solution for SEPTA, at least for the immediate future, fans will have access to express trains and can hopefully enjoy a Philadelphia Eagles win without disruption.”

They also expressed appreciation to SEPTA, the Philadelphia Eagles, FanDuel, and Uber for their roles in ensuring reliable transportation would be available. The restored train service is expected to help manage traffic congestion and provide safe travel for thousands of attendees.
