Senator Joe Picozzi, a state legislator, shared updates on public transportation, community engagement, and national remembrance through a series of posts on his social media account.

On September 10, 2025, Senator Picozzi announced the restoration of transit services: “Great news for riders: Full SEPTA service returns September 14th. The fight for safety, transparency and long term solutions continues.”

The following day, he commemorated the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a message honoring victims and first responders. On September 11, 2025, he posted: “Today, we pause to remember those we lost on September 11th. I join all Americans in honoring the lives lost and the brave first responders who answered the call. May we never forget.”

Senator Picozzi also highlighted his involvement in local educational initiatives. On September 12, 2025, he wrote: “I am grateful I was able to join Bright Little Scholars for their backpack giveaway and making sure our students are equipped with the tools they need for a great school year.”

SEPTA is Philadelphia’s regional public transportation authority that serves millions of riders annually.

Bright Little Scholars is an organization focused on supporting early childhood education by providing resources such as school supplies to local students.
