On Wednesday, four teams advanced to the semifinals in the U-16 Division of Snow Bowl 2026, an event presented by The SWAG and YSC Academy.
In the U-16 category, Philadelphia Union secured a 3-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. The German team started strongly but was held off by a key defensive play from Union captain Landon Mulvena in the ninth minute. After a physical first half with limited chances, Philadelphia took control after halftime. Jayden Kouadio scored in the 37th minute from a Chris Thompson cross, followed quickly by Timoni Gbalajobi’s goal set up by Samuel Gallego. Substitute William Mihelic added a third after Enoch Koleth forced a turnover. Borussia Mönchengladbach scored late through Aldrin Asani’s penalty, but Philadelphia maintained their lead.

In U-18 action, Philadelphia Union defeated Alberg NextGen 6-0. Tyler Gladstone contributed three assists in the first half, including two to Chuka Ebo. In the second half, Ronan Sullivan scored twice—once with a header from Erik Guzman’s corner and again from the penalty spot after being fouled.
S.L. Benfica claimed their place in the U-16 semifinals with a 2-0 victory over Chicago Fire FC. After a goalless first half, Raimo Djalo headed home Gonçalo Fernandes’ free kick in the 41st minute. Chicago nearly equalized but were denied by defender Edgar Campos’ series of blocks and then hit the crossbar on another attempt. Bernardo Rodrigues sealed Benfica’s win with a late goal.
Lyngby Boldklub advanced to the knockout round after drawing PSV Eindhoven 2-2 in U-16 play. PSV led at halftime through David Zirarusha Shyaka’s deflected shot following high pressing play. Lyngby responded with goals from Amgai and Arthur Lillesø Bech early in the second half but conceded an equalizer to Adin Camo near full time.
In U-18 competition, Lyngby Boldklub became the first side to reach that division’s final with a 2-0 win against S.L. Benfica. William Brink opened scoring from a free kick before Jonathan Adebeci doubled Lyngby’s lead four minutes later.
The group stage concludes Thursday with final matches for U-15 and U-18 divisions at Snow Bowl 2026 presented by The SWAG and YSC Academy. Borussia Dortmund has already qualified for the U-15 knockout round while five other teams remain eligible for advancement as group standings remain close.
