Research links family-friendly residency resources to higher proportion of female orthopedic residents

Healio’s Orthopedics Today has reported on research by Emily Chu, a student at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. The study was presented at the Women in Medicine Summit and focused on orthopedic surgery residency programs.

Chu’s research found that residency programs which featured family-friendly resources on their program and Graduate Medical Education websites had a higher proportion of female residents.

Temple University Hospital announced that as of September 3, Labor and Delivery services have moved from its Main Campus to a new hospital location.
