Senator Joe Picozzi (R-5) has announced a news conference to discuss Senate Bill 911, known as the Violent Incident Clearance and Technological Investigative Methods (VICTIM) Act. The event is scheduled for Monday, November 3 at 12:30 p.m., with the location yet to be determined.

According to Picozzi, the legislation aims to help law enforcement solve more violent crimes by providing them with additional tools. “The measure is designed to increase clearance rates for homicides and other violent crimes by providing law enforcement with additional tools,” Picozzi stated.

The VICTIM Act focuses on improving how violent incidents are investigated and cleared, addressing concerns about unsolved cases in communities across the state.
