The Philadelphia Phillies have seen changes in their farm system rankings, with MLB Pipeline releasing its midseason update on Monday. The top three prospects for the organization remain Andrew Painter, Aidan Miller, and Justin Crawford. New additions to the Top 5 include right-handed pitcher Gage Wood, who was selected in the first round of the 2025 Draft from the University of Arkansas, and infielder Aroon Escobar, who moved up eight spots from his previous preseason ranking.

The full Top 5 for the Phillies’ prospects are: Andrew Painter (RHP), Aidan Miller (SS), Justin Crawford (OF), Gage Wood (RHP), and Aroon Escobar (2B).

Among players making significant moves in the rankings is Keaton Anthony. Previously unranked in the preseason list, Anthony now sits at No. 15. Last season he posted a .322/.446/.470 line across Single-A Clearwater and High-A Jersey Shore. This year he started with Double-A Reading before being promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he has continued to perform well with a .313 average over 33 games.

Some prospects have seen their rankings drop. Michael Mercado fell from No. 22 to No. 30 after struggling in both major league appearances and at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season, posting an ERA above five. Mavis Graves also dropped from No. 17 to No. 25 due to increased walk rates despite maintaining strong strikeout numbers.

New faces added to the Phillies’ Top 30 prospects include several recent draft picks: Gage Wood (No. 4), Cade Obermueller (No. 7), Matthew Fisher (No. 10), Sean Youngerman (No. 18), Eiberson Castellano (No. 24), and Cody Bowker (No. 29). Castellano returned to the organization after being taken by another team in the Rule 5 Draft.

Player tools were also evaluated using a scouting scale ranging from well below average to well above average for skills such as hitting, power, speed, arm strength, defense, fastball velocity, curveball effectiveness, slider movement, changeup quality, and control.
