On August 29, 2025, several top prospects across Minor League Baseball delivered standout performances as the regular season neared its conclusion.

Justin Crawford, an outfielder ranked as the Philadelphia Phillies’ No. 3 prospect and MLB’s No. 67 overall, had a notable game for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He collected three hits and stole two bases, bringing his season total to 45 stolen bases—just two shy of his career high. This performance marked Crawford’s fifth straight multihit game and raised his batting average to .336, which leads the International League over 109 games this season. During August, Crawford has posted a .369 average with a season-high 16 RBIs.

The Omaha broadcast highlighted Crawford’s speed after he beat out another infield hit: “Justin Crawford is SO fast.”

Elsewhere in the minors, Konnor Griffin (Pirates), MLB’s top-ranked prospect, recorded a career-best seven RBIs for Double-A Altoona. Eli Willits (Nationals) continued his strong start at Single-A Fredericksburg with hits in each of his first eight professional games. Carson Benge (Mets) hit his first home run at Triple-A Syracuse and now has 13 homers across three levels this year.

Other notable performances included George Lombard Jr. (Yankees) reaching base three times for Double-A Somerset and stealing his 30th base of the year; George Klassen (Angels) striking out nine batters over five innings for Double-A Rocket City; Bo Davidson (Giants) hitting two home runs for Double-A Richmond; Adam Serwinowski (Dodgers) recording a career-high 12 strikeouts for High-A Great Lakes; Druw Jones (Diamondbacks) notching an inside-the-park home run for High-A Hillsboro; Carlos Jorge (Reds) going five-for-five with three runs scored for High-A Dayton; and Nick Cimillo (Pirates), who completed the first cycle for Double-A Altoona since 2014.

These individual efforts came during one of the final full slates of affiliate ball action this season. More details on these performances can be found at https://www.mlb.com/news/top-prospect-performers-for-august-29-2025.
