After a lengthy offseason, the Philadelphia Phillies are preparing to begin their Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida next week. The team will start with pitchers and catchers holding their first workout on February 11 at Carpenter Complex, followed by the first full-squad workout on February 16.

The Phillies’ Spring Training games will take place at BayCare Ballpark, which has served as their training home since 2004. Prior to game action, workouts are held at the nearby Carpenter Complex, featuring four fields named after Phillies legends: Mike Schmidt Field, Steve Carlton Field, Robin Roberts Field, and Richie Ashburn Field.

Fans are welcome to attend these workouts free of charge. Sessions usually begin mid-to-late morning and last into early afternoon.

Several new players have joined the roster for 2026. Outfielder Adolis García was signed with plans for him to be the starting right fielder. The bullpen has also added Brad Keller—who agreed to a two-year contract worth $22 million—and Jonathan Bowlan, who arrived via trade involving Matt Strahm. Other newcomers expected to compete for relief roles include Chase Shugart, Zach Pop, Zach McCambley, Yoniel Curet, and Kyle Backhus.

Among prospects invited to Major League camp are Aidan Miller (ranked No. 23 overall by MLB Pipeline), Andrew Painter (No. 28), and Justin Crawford (No. 53). Painter is expected to vie for a spot in the Opening Day rotation while Crawford is a leading candidate for center field.

The Phillies open their Grapefruit League schedule against the Toronto Blue Jays at TD Ballpark in Dunedin on February 21 at 1 p.m. ET. Their first home game follows on February 22 against the Pittsburgh Pirates at BayCare Ballpark.

A notable event this spring includes an exhibition game versus Team Canada on March 4 ahead of the World Baseball Classic. The club will also participate in two “Spring Breakout” games that showcase top prospects: one against Minnesota Twins prospects on March 19 in Fort Myers and another against Blue Jays prospects on March 21 in Clearwater.

NBC Sports Philadelphia generally broadcasts about twelve home games each spring; however, there has been no official announcement yet regarding this year’s coverage. Most road games can be heard via SportsRadio 94WIP or MLB.com.

The Phillies conclude their Florida schedule with a noon matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays on March 23 at BayCare Ballpark and will not play additional exhibitions before Opening Day.

Opening Day is set for March 26 when Philadelphia hosts the Texas Rangers at Citizens Bank Park beginning at 4:15 p.m. ET.

“There’s a lot of excitement around camp this year,” said manager Rob Thomson. “We’re looking forward to getting started and seeing how all these pieces come together.”
