The Philadelphia Phillies currently have three players featured on MLB Pipeline’s 2026 Top 100 Prospects list: shortstop Aidan Miller at number 23, right-handed pitcher Andrew Painter at number 28, and outfielder Justin Crawford at number 53. With both Painter and Crawford expected to join the Major League roster in 2026, attention is turning to the next group of prospects who could rise into future Top 100 rankings.

Among those considered likely candidates is Gage Wood, a right-handed pitcher ranked fourth in the Phillies’ system. Wood gained national recognition for his performance in the 2025 College World Series, where he threw a no-hitter with 19 strikeouts against Murray State. He was selected by the Phillies as the 26th overall pick shortly after that game. The organization notes his impressive fastball velocity and power curveball, but also points to his history of shoulder injuries and limited innings pitched as factors that may influence whether he advances as a starter or reliever.

Aroon Escobar, a second baseman from Venezuela signed in 2022, has emerged as another key prospect. In 2025, Escobar advanced to Double-A at age 20 and posted a .270 batting average with an on-base percentage of .361 and slugging percentage of .413. He hit 15 home runs and stole 24 bases across three levels last season. While not regarded as an elite runner or defender, Escobar’s strengths include consistent contact at the plate and developing power potential.

Outfielder Dante Nori, selected by the Phillies in the first round of the 2024 draft, also made progress by reaching Double-A during his first full professional season in 2025. Nori collected 127 hits, drew 75 walks, and stole 52 bases across three levels. His profile emphasizes contact hitting combined with speed on the bases. The organization expects him to add more power while maintaining his ability to make consistent contact.

As current top prospects approach Major League status, these players are positioned as potential additions to future Top 100 lists according to organizational evaluations.
