Philadelphia Union forward Tai Baribo has been selected to join the Israel national team for upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Baribo is one of three Philadelphia Union players called up during this international window, along with Danley Jean Jacques (Haiti) and Cavan Sullivan (U.S. U-17).

Baribo, who led the club with 16 goals this season and ranked third in Major League Soccer, will represent Israel as they compete against Moldova on September 5 and Italy on September 8. The forward has made 19 appearances for his national team, scoring three goals.

“Tai Baribo has been called up by Israel ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window,” the club stated in its announcement.
