Homegrown defender Neil Pierre of the Philadelphia Union has been selected to participate in the U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team Domestic Identity Training Camp during the September FIFA window. The announcement was made by the club on August 31, 2025.
Pierre is one of eight Philadelphia Union players chosen for international duty during this period. Alongside Pierre, Tai Baribo will represent Israel, Cavan Sullivan has been called up to the U.S. U-17 team, and Frankie Westfield joins the U.S. U-20 squad. Additionally, Eddy Davis III, Sal Olivas, and Andrew Rick have also been selected for the U.S. U-20 Identity Camp.
The training camp is part of a broader effort by the Federation to focus on its “U.S. Way” philosophy. According to the organization, this approach includes more programming for Youth National Teams with the aim of providing increased opportunities for young athletes to progress toward representing their country at senior levels and in world championships.
The U-19 squad will train alongside the U-17s from September 1 through September 8 at McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Georgia.
The roster for the camp features players from clubs across Major League Soccer and abroad. Among defenders, both Kaiden Moore and Neil Pierre represent Philadelphia Union.
